I am a singer/songwriter/pianist. I have been playing piano since age 5 and writing songs since the 5th grade. The songs I compose are very personal reflections on love, life and death. I prefer very stripped down arrangements and productions with a feel of drama in the live performance. I have an extensive musical theater background, playing approximately 3-5 musicals a year. I particularly like adult contemporary pop music so most of my work tends to be contemporary although I frequently accompany for classical works, including DE All-State Chorus rehearsals every year. In the past I have played in rock bands Last Metro and The Stand. While in The Stand I worked with Cornerstone Management (The Hooters) opened for people like T-Bone Burnett, The Tubes, Jonathon Richmond and The BoDeans to name a few. My own compositions have received airplay on WSTW's Hometown Heroes, 'Nette Radio (a website out of Dallas), Mike's Cafe out of Michigan, FameGames and on a webcast for Pacific Songwriting Contest out of Australia. My original songs have been featured on the first singer/songwriter CD from 4W5 called "Live at 4W5," Hometown Heroes Christmas CD, Mike's Cafe compilation CD and I have performed annually on Tim Qualls Show (TV Channel 23). This past year I toured the East Coast playing keyboards for "Milow the Girl", a band out of Switzerland. I have received two awards for songwriting through ASCAP based on performance royalties for solo performances at many venues from NYC to North Carolina, including Downtown Newark Festivals, Brandywine Festival of the Arts, Mojo 13, Mojo Main, Coffeeworks, Dewey Beach Music Conference, Best of Delaware at Chase and Wilmington Bluerocks to name a few. I am a member of GoGirls Music, Philadelphia Area Songwriters Alliance, Baltimore Songwriters Association, and February Album Writing Month.org as well as ASCAP. During the day I teach private piano at Sanford School and Music & Arts in Newark ,DE and count myself fortunate to make a living as a musician!
