PRAYZ / Bio

Every once in a while a very unique talent emerges that is considered extra ordinary.

Gospel Reggae Artiste, Songwriter, Producer, “Prayz” is breaking new ground in an already rewarding ministry. His deep passion for God is evident in his music, and his lyrical prowess displays his fearlessness in experimenting in a variety of genres to include Roots reggae, dancehall, hip-hop etc.

Robert Levy a.k.a. Prayz, a son of Peckham district, Clarendon and Windsor Heights, Central Village St. Catherine entered the gospel scene in early 2006. He closely follows the ministries of persons whose musical gifting is trend-setting. These include artistes such as Kirk Franklin and Prodigal Son, etc.

Prayz has ministered on some of Jamaica’s top gospel shows to include “Recharge”, “Ketch A Fire” among others, and has shared stages with the likes of award winning international gospel artiste Micah Stampley. He has also ministered as a gospel artiste and advocate in the Netherlands Antilles.

Prayz is not only seeking to become a household name in Jamaica but desires to reach every continent with Reggae Gospel. Prayz desires to eventually head his own recording label “Prayz Recordz” with plans to incorporate other upcoming gospel artistes to his label.

As Robert pursues his dream of becoming an architect and minister of the Gospel with music being his main tool, his motto reflects his commitment: “One God, One People, One Praise”.

Prayz is currently in the studios working on his debut album which he expects to be released in the very near future. His aim is to reach the lost with the undiluted Word of God that all may know that Jesus Christ is Lord.
