As a songwriter, my strength is my diversity, and how prolific I can be, without the quality of song writing suffering in the process. I don't fall into the trap of repeating myself and I never run dry. The best way to find out whether I live up to these claims is to listen to as many of my tunes, on this page, and on my my other pages (Vegan Abrotion, Julian Assange & The Wikileaks, Make Celebrities History, Kaleidoscopic Data Frame, The Mixed Meta One, and The Thessalonian) as you possibly can. That's the only way to get a clear picture of what sets me apart as an artist. Listening to one or two tunes will tell you very little; listen to a whole bunch of them and the penny will drop :)
Lot's of new stuff in the pipeline.
I can't really give an opinion myself (some of the comparisons are not too obvious to me, and a couple of the artists I don't really like; flattering all the same), but I've been compared to the following artists:
SHEEP ON DRUGS, ROBIN HITCHCOCK, SWANS, THROBBING GRISTLE, BAUHAUS, DAVID BOWIE (AN INFERIOR ONE, OF COURSE), TUBEWAY ARMY, BONZO DOG DOO-DAH BAND, LOU REED, FAD GADGET, THE MISSION, THE RESIDENTS, THEY MIGHT BE GIANTS, SID BARRETT, LADYTRON, SPARKS, DEPECHE MODE, BRIAN ENO, DAVID BYRNE, PETER MURPHY, PHILIP GLASS, CABARET VOLTAIRE, REMAIN IN LIGHT, TALKING HEADS, NEIL INNES, BARNES AND BARNES, ALIEN SEX FIEND, DEVO, A CERTAIN RATIO, HEAVAN 17, IGGY POP, PET SHOP BOYS, STEVE REICH, SISTERS OF MERCY, FRANK TOVEY, COIL, CHROME, JOHN CALE, JOHN FOXX, even elements of Pink Floyd, it seems.
I have several pages here on reverbnation, and it would probably require listening to quite a few tracks on the different pages, to come to a similar conclusion regarding influences. (Vegan Abrotion, Julian Assange & The Wikileaks, Make Celebrities History, Kaleidoscopic Data Frame, The Mixed Meta One, and The Thessalonian)
