Tupelo Honey / Bio

Having arrived on the Cincinnati music scene in 2006, Tupelo Honey has become one of the cities favorite folk rock bands. They have captured the harmonic grace of the Indigo Girls, Dixie Chics, Patty Griffin, and Janis Joplin to produce the unique sound that is signature “Tupelo Honey”.
Winner of the 2007 Cincinnati Entertainment Award in the Folk-Americana category and 2010 Nominee for the Folk-Americana category, the band is regularly played on WEBN, WNKU, and WVXU.
The band is fronted by song writers Heather Turner and Katie Wefer both of which provide lead vocals and guitar. Other members include Scott Risner on mandolin and lead guitar and Daniel Peterson on drums and percussion.
