Pablou / Bio

Long time friends, Marnii Mancini and Jean-Christophe Hermier provide the spellbinding lyrics to Kris Barr's production finesse. Bucking the industry and flying in the face of the major labels, the band broke through initially in 2004 in Philadelphia, USA with the creation of their fledgling label, Destination Records. After a dedicated period of collaboration including some of the finest talent in the States, they embarked on a European Tour which would see them share stages with Paul Weller, Faithless, Gabrielle, Chaka Khan,The Stereophonics, Biffy Clyro to name but a few. Regrouping as Pablou in 2008, dividing time between Edinburgh and London, the band finally perfected their initial release "Limbo", from the album "I Am An Army". A UK university tour followed with the Students Unions of Glasgow, Loughborough, Liverpool, Sheffield Hallam, Birmingham and UCL delighting in the talents of this multi-instrumental, genre transcending band. A follow up single "Nothing Left" was released in France to great acclaim. Their most notable break came in late 2013 when Marnii penned the worldwide hit "Can't Say Now" in support of The McGuire Programme for speech impediments. The track featured Graeme Duffin of Wet Wet Wet and was an immediate sensation on iTunes and Amazon world wide. Destination Records was then able to offer developmental deals to several unsigned acts in the UK, Italy, Hungary and the USA with all the artists covering Pablou songs on their albums. 2014 sees the release of their brand new album "A Second Less Than Never" featuring the achingly beautiful "Corners", Every Time I Look At You and the instantly hookable "Sixes and Sevens". They have also been approached by countless remixers, lauded by National and International radio and look set to soar...
