The long awaited album from Jerome Arizona’s own Doubleblind will be available late December 2013. The 11 song cd includes tracks that are a mixture of hard rocking tunes such as Love and Hate, Moneymaker and Point Six to the groovy and melodic such as After Forever, Bar Stool Hero and City in the Sea. The debut effort from Doubleblind is a collection of tunes that reflect the musicianship and diverse songwriting of the band. Along with the hard driving rhythm section of Noah Pfeffer on bass and John Westcott on drums, and the melodic, powerful guitar playing of Roy Sandoval, the strong and unique vocals of Mary K. Pfeffer create an exciting and emotional sound.
Doubleblind started in 1998 as Red Giant and soon gained a strong local following in the central AZ area. In 2000 the band went on hiatus. Guitarist Roy Sandoval and drummer John Westcott went on to form Headless Charlie. In 2012 Red Giant reformed as Doubleblind and began recording the debut album and is beginning again to carve out a spot as a top act in the region and elsewhere.
