Karen Beutler is a singer/guitarist. She has fronted cover bands and worked as a backing singer. In 1996 she joined the Café Of The Gate Of Salvation, Australia's foremost a cappella gospel choir and has performed as a soloists at concerts and on their 2006 CD Deluxe. She performed with the choir to back Powderfinger at the 2007 Aria Awards and other leading Australian acts such as Jenny Morris, Paul Capsis, Jacky Orzacky and Tina Harrod.
Terry Neal has played lead guitar, bass and keyboards in many bands and has been arranging and writing songs for a number of years. After completing a music production course at the Australian School of Production and Engineering, he set up a home studio, and began producing his own songs and music. His first solo album by his band Sugar Daddies, entitled ‘Broken Down Again’ was well received with one music reviewer stating ‘Any songwriter will be knocked out by Terry’s talent.’ After working with Karen, Terry’s music has taken a new turn; moving from his blues and rock roots to jazz influences.
Peter Malone has wide experience in Jazz and has studied with George Golla, Don Andrews and Ike Issacs. He has been a professional musician for over 15 years and has played extensively in Rock cover bands and Swing Jazz groups. Peter has done over 300 concerts for Musica Viva playing Australian Folk music. In 1994 Pete joined the Bushwackers and was involved in the recording of two EP’s “Billy of Tea” and “Bushwacked”. Peter is currently a member of Reel Matilda and Celtic folk group Moondance.
Tony Keep has years of experience on Drums and has studied many different styles of Percussion from African to Latin American. Tony has played in bands such as Moondance the Reel Matildas, who won the Best Band at the Tamworth Country Music Festival. He is currently also playing with Hand Picked who have toured New Zealand and regularly perform on cruise ships. Tony brings a unique and highly original style to the rhythm section of the band and is Blue Taboo’s heart beat.
