It started in a tiny apartment off the 101 freeway. Moa Henriksson (vocals, guitar) would lock herself up, bugging her neighbors while honing her craft. Leaving Sweden in 2012, Los Angeles became where she would meet her musical half, guitarist Nathan Gignac and it didn't take long until they started writing songs together. Dead Heroine was born.
The band was completed by fellow musicians Ben Wittrock (bass) and David Rehmann (drums) who understood the vision and contributed to the sound of Nathan's dirty, post-hardcore riffs that would serve as a foundation for Moa's catchy melodies . Dead Heroine began performing in various hole-in-the-wall venues and quickly found the inspiration to begin work on their debut EP together with up and coming producer Luke Gerard Webb. Dead Heroine's tenacious attitude has allowed them to work in such studios as NRG, where notable bands such as Linkin Park, Papa Roach and No Doubt got their start. After some crazy guitar tracking sessions, the band realized they needed a third guitar player and Gabriel Forsman joined forces. The everyday obstacles that anyone growing up in this generation faces are directly reflected in the music. Dead Heroine's sound is honest and aggressive with a clear message that anything is possible if you're willing to risk it all and venture into the unknown.
