Praised by heavy metal fans and critics alike as THE West Coast act to beat, Octane Mob has decimated the live music scene since 2008. The wicked brain-child of founders Eddie and Brett Octane combine the innovation of today's metal with the timelessness of the classics. Octane Mob's debut CD, Three-D World, recorded at Requiem Studios in Brea, CA was released on May 28th 2010, and each track showcases their unique approach to the metal genre and yielding an award for a song called "Lost My Way" which won "Best Song" at the Street Official Music Awards Ceremony.
Octane Mob’s true passion is to play live, which they fondly call their "proving grounds." They have been touring the West Coast non stop
playing main stage venues such as the Key Club in Hollywood, the House of Blues, and have been the opening act or in direct support for national acts such as Steel Panther, Roy Z's serpents and Rainbows, Leatherwolf, Cage, and The Evil Dead to name a few. The band believes in staying very active with their fans and gets involved with their community by performing and donating at benefit concerts such as their latest "1st Annual Rockers Against Cancer Benefit Show. Their dynamic stage presence boasts heavy riffs, melodic guitar lines, and blistering solos, all tied together by Eddie’s powerful vocals and their natural gift for working a crowd. With the addition of drummer Alex Nunez and bassist Steve Slaughter in 2011, Octane Mob is stronger, heavier, and more driven than ever, sharpening their metal edge over the thousands of other bands in Southern California.
The band's tireless metal mission has recently paid off in the form of international exposure. Giving credit to Maximum Threshold Radio and Boost Radio for the start of their airplay, Octane Mob has caught on to nearly every internet radio station across the country and internationally. Metalheads worldwide are now raising the irons to Octane Mob where their music is played in regular rotation, Octane mob has been called upon several times to do live radio interviews as every song is written from the heart and inspired by life experiences, giving the band a genuine connection with their fan base.
With so much competition in and around Southern California, The Octane Mob’s on stage presence and the diversity of their music they write truly sets them apart. The Octane Mob is currently in the studio recording their second album with legendary producer Bill Metoyer ( Metal Blade, Elektra, Capitol, Hollywood, Earache, and Roadrunner Records) and are now planning a semi regional tour following an invitation from a national act .
