The Brown Goose is a traditional rock-n-roll band from Tallahassee, FL. Known for having a locally infused sound mixed with a high energy live performance, The Brown Goose has quickly emerged in the North Florida Panhandle as a high tempo down-home jam.
The Brown Goose immediately made an impact in their home town and have been booked by many college organizations and local music venues in the region. With the release of their March, 2013 EP(Gasoline Alley Recording Studios), and countless packed out live shows under their belt, The Geese are gearing up for a big year in 2014. Heading back into the studio now with high powered momentum The Brown Goose is set to release their second coming-of-age sophomore EP in early April 2014. The group will then be showcasing their talents in college towns stretching from Chapel Hill N.C. all the way down to South Florida. Stay tuned for updates as The Geese are just getting started.
Affectionately named after their pet Chocolate Lab dog "Goose", The Brown Goose is comprised of Tallahassee natives Kyle McKenzie, Barrance Dupree, Mike Ingram, Josh Grimes, and Patrick Sowell. Featuring a unique lineup of dual lead vocals, The Brown Goose mixes sounds from the region, including influences, ranging from ELI, Aerosmith and P-Funk all the way to more modern sounds from the region like Mayday Parade, Blackberry Smoke, and UnderOath. With a total melting pot of sounds, the diversity of Tallahassee and it's musical history is the only reason a sound like this was able to happen.
