Leon Russell / Bio

Leon Russell’s songwriting credits include ‘A Song For You’, ‘Delta Lady’, ‘Hummingbird’, ‘Lady Blue’, ‘Tight Rope’, and ‘This Masquerade’. Leon led the Joe Cocker ‘Mad Dogs & Englishmen’ tour in 1970 and performed with George Harrison and friends at the Concert For Bangladesh in 1971. Leon and Willie Nelson released a duet album, ‘One For The Road’, in 1979.

Leon’s CD ‘Best Of Hank Wilson' was released June 23, 2009.

Leon and Sir Elton John's duet album, The Union, was released on October 19 in the U.S. on Decca Records.

Leon has been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and the Songwriter's Hall of Fame.
