"Road Kill" Willie has played from New York To Texas for over 40 years
He has opened shows for many national bands over the years including
38 Special, Molly Hatchet, The Outlaws, Blackfoot, Georgia Satellites, Night Ranger,
Leslie West, Good Rats & Zebra Willie always played Lynyrd Skynyrd in his sets.
Tapped by Cliff Cultrari President of AR For Relativity Records In 1994-95. He was looking for a biker type Rock Blues band Like The Black Crowes. That was untill Warren Haynes and Cliff got together and that was that. Road Kill gone. Gov't Mule was born, and that's a true story.
Willie was later diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis in 1995 and suffered a massive heart attack in Jan.1997 and again in 98. Willie had to do the better part of a year in physical therapy to play guitar again. "I still can't feel much with the ring finger and pinky on my left hand" but with a lot of work he's back stronger maybe better then ever! After I healed from my heart attack and rehabs I missed playing. BAD!! I started a open Mic Jam thing with Larry Topaz which morphed into The Long Island Street Survivors. That's I met Mike Scialabba he looked me in the eye and said I was looking fate in the face. Put me in touch with Artimus Pyle the next 10 years were great yet after all I have achieved with Street Survivors my originals still want to be heard! It's time for a change. Road Kill Still Rocks.
