Like four horsemen of a musical apocalypse, British rock band Da Vinci charge heroically across the barren wasteland of a terminally bland music industry to herald a renaissance of all that is great in our proud heritage of fantastically entertaining musical artists.
Drawing inspiration from many unique legendary bands such as Queen, The Who and Led Zeppelin with influences from later proponents like the Foo Fighters, Rage against the Machine and the Chilli Peppers, Da Vinci create a cinematic vista of rock theater, telling larger-than-life stories through their powerful and emotive songs.
Da Vinci was formed in the heart of England in 2006 when flamboyant singer / multi-instrumentalist Declan Sharma met innovative guitar virtuoso Vinnie Liotta in a midlands mental health institution. Tim Wilson joined on bass in 2008 with Karl Gibbs completing the new line-up on drums in 2012.
In 2013 Da Vinci felt the need to get somebody on board to help out with the day to day running of things and asked Andrew Cave to become their manager.
2014 has been an epic year so far with Da Vinci supporting "Queen Alive" on numerous occasions and being asked to play at "Party in the Park Unsigned 2014". The band have been nominated by Robin walker MP for Worcester to represent Worcester in "Rock the House", a competition with many patrons such as Alice Cooper, Brian May, Young Guns, Ian Gillan, Rick Wakeman, Mark Hoppus, Charlie Simpson, Matt Tuck, Don Broco, Yngwie Malmsteen, Steel Panther, Scott Gorham, All Time Low and Bernie Marsden.
