Born and raised in the unembraceable Russia that is world famous for its talents, Alevtina has revealed herself as a breathtaking virtuoso of the trombone as well as gifted jazz singer, composer and arranger.
Graduated summa cum laude from the prestigious Gnessin Russian Academy of Music where her charisma and unique musical thinking were quickly noticed and highly regarded by the leading Russian jazz musicians, Alevtina has become "the first and only Russian jazz woman" who has managed to tame the trombone. Her voice, powerful and rich powdered with the sensual velvety sub tones, adds to the whole picture.
Coming across as a quite heady mix of sensitive femininity delicately blended with her outstanding mastery of trombone she will definitely make you overwhelmed by a number and variety of the sounds she are able to produce joyfully fiddling with this unfeminine instrument.
Highly regarded by the greatest jazz musicians all over the world Alevtina is currently working on her own jazz project - "Solar Wind", where she combines the beloved jazz standards with the elements of the African-American rhythms and Russian folk music presenting to the public an unmatched blend of sounds, rhythms and improvisations.
