Pocket Tanya is a New England based artist. He penned his first song when he was seven and continued writing original songs and recording a variety of mixtapes throughout middle and high school . In 2004 he left Gloucester, MA for Full Sail University in Winter Park, FL to study recording arts. Basic knowledge of audio production and a natural knack for rhythm helped with early on music composition and shows for former moniker "Ricky Diamond". With Ricky Diamond, (originally and solely created as a social networking alias for Myspace and later chosen as stage personna), Pocket pursued an avenue for creating his own agenda as a performance artist. Ricky Diamond emerged out of Orlando a crass underground electro artist working the local scene in central Florida primarily focused in the gay community. In early 2010 Pocket formed Diamond Dolls with new friend and writing partner Daniel Roney. Upon relocating to MA August 2011 he reconnected with longtime friend DJ/promoter Riley "$upa Ugly" Syrus and ran a slew of monthly turned weekly parties for "What Nice!" at local venue Dog Bar, a Gloucester hotspot hangout. What Nice! ran it's course for a little over a year and a half before ending in May 2013. Pocket is known for his multiple aliases including Rick Dickie, Pintle Lee Diamond, Dick Dirt etc... He continues to finish working on tracks and plans to book scattered performances here and there including his new monthly venture Closet Case, an everything queer performance art/dance party. Pocket is available for booking in the New England area. Email for further inquiries.
