Levell Hedgspeth has been in ministry for more than 26 years. He began singing in the choir at the ripe young age of 4, ministering as a soloist. He was vocally trained by his aunt Beulah, who was the minister of music for their home church in the Tidewater Virginia area. He then continued his vocal training, singing with many school choruses throughout his early school years and was invited to take part in all city choruses. His exposure to gospel music was constant during his childhood years as his parents both sang in local singing groups and were constantly touring the tidewater area, ministering in song. This exposure, not only increased his knowledge of the music industry, but also allowed him to be onstage with many gospel quartets, solo artist's, and other ensembles, including The Virginia Soul Stirrers, The Fantastic Violinaires, Slim and the Supreme Angels, The Mighty Clouds of Joy, and The Gospel Leaders to name a few. In 1988 he took part in his first studio recording, recording the theme song, "Crusading For Christ" for a national radio ministry, the Crusading for Christ broadcast for the late Bishop L.E. Willis, Pastor of Garden of Prayer C.O.G.I.C. and national leader of the C.O.G.I.C. church. Ordained a minister in 1987 in the Pentacostal Holiness Church Levell went on to become an associate pastor in two churches before founding his own non-denominational ministry, New Restoration Tabernacle Church in Charlotte, NC along with his wife, Renee in 1998. What Levell would like to convey in his music ministry is that God is a God of redemption and restoration. And no matter who you are or what your past may be God is able to redeem and restore you to your rightful place in Him. The song, "I Wanna Please You" comes from Proverbs 16:7 (when a man's ways please the Lord he makes even his enemies to be at peace with him). As Levell works to complete this project with a heart of gratitude and love for the Father, again, his message for you is that God Loves, Redeems, and Restores. Be Blessed!
