Mortisha's Secret / Bio

Mortisha’s Secret is a Los Angeles, California based rock duo hailing from the great state of Ohio. It consists of husband and wife members Todd and Missy Shay. They formed in 1991 and have performed numerous shows all over Northeast Ohio (notably The Odeon and Peabody’s Downunder in Cleveland).

The two have recorded two original full length CD’s. “For Those Who Have Waited Patiently” was released in 2000 and “Us Against The World” was released in 2002. The second release sold copies that reached as far as Germany and Brazil. That album also featured a song written for 9/11 titled “Never Forget This Day”. It received acclaim from The White House and The Oprah Winfrey Show. The duo was asked to do an interview about the song a few years later for ABC affiliate WYTV Channel 33 on the anniversary of the 9/11 attacks.

After writing and performing for many years together, the two finally decided it was time to move to a place where their music would really have a chance to be heard and felt. In the summer of 2013 they decided to make their home base LA.
