Strap On Halo is an American Goth Rock band whose music harkens to 'traditional gothic' driven by howling guitars (Sean Rial), resonating bass (Marc Jones) and a haunting female voice (Layla Reyna).
Strap On Halo's first release was Cherry Flavored Quick Fix. A four song EP that was recorded and produced by Martin Atkins at the Mattress Factory in Chicago, Illinois over one weekend and independently released on October 13, 2009. Prompted by the success of the release the band hit the road on their first tour in the summer of 2010. The Quick Fix tour spanned two weeks traveling south to New Orleans, into Texas, through Florida and back home.
On June 10, 2011, Strap On Halo released their debut full length release that was best described as 'unapologetically Goth'. The Dead Don't Lie was produced, mixed and mastered by Mick Shearman of NightPorter and John Ross of ANXST. Coinciding with this release they set out on the Memento Mori US Tour that spanned five weeks and included The Hiram Key from the UK during select dates.
“There’s something that truly charms about this album. It’s unapologetically Goth. You can hear the influences, Faith and The Muse, Mephisto Walz, Sunshine Blind, but they clearly have their own identity and spin on the material. The vocals of Layla Reyna remind me a bit of Miss Kel from the criminally overlooked Black Ice, but with a touch of Tina Root’s hollering menace. They join bands like Christ vs Warhol in proving the Goth scene hasn’t forgotten what made all this darkness so appealing in the first place.”

Strap On Halo's third tour took them across the west coast, into Texas and then in September they joined The Spiritual Bat on their US Tour of the Midwest. The last show of the year ended in Jacksonville, FL for the first annual Age of Decay Festival on September 22, 2012.
In 2013 Strap On Halo released a single titled, “Gloomy Sunday” and set out on their fourth tour.
