My full name is Melody-Ann Simpson but I go by the name Melody. I was born on the 10th October 2001. I live in a small village called Clifford in West Yorkshire.
I love to sing and my mum and dad say as soon as I could talk I sang.
In primary school I sang in the choir, I played the oboe for 3 years but stopped when I finished primary school as it wasn’t really for me, singing is what I like to do. I love to listen to and sing lots of different kinds of music, One Direction and Bruno Mars are my favourite but I also like Pink and Jessie j.I am very lucky as I have been to see Pink, Jessie j and Bruno Mars in concert. I have also seen the Red Hot Chilli Peppers and Metallica. I started singing with Georgina Hill-Brown from The New foundry Studios (formally vocaltutor) around oct/nov 2012 and I love it. I have recorded quite a few songs now and we have filmed videos for them. I have done a couple of photo-shoots which I really liked doing, they were loads of fun.
I have sung at a few charity events and galas and I entered Doncaster’s Got Talent in 2013. I got into the final. I loved every minute of it and the experience was well worth entering for, I also met lots of lovely people.
I think I will be singing for the rest of my life so keep a look out.
