Primal Times began, ultimately, in the year 2000, when John Mann-Moery & Trevor Ducken were introduced as co-workers at Albertsons Grocer. When they realized their musical tastes (Zeppelin & Sabbath) were identical, John & Trevor began to meet at the home of the Ducken's, trading riffs & pumping out such classics as "Subgay" and "Them Laotians". From this point on, John & Trevor would form a nucleus with a number of drummers helping them along the way, these percussionists include, in order: James "Funk 50" Minchew, Dan "Meat & Potatoes" Randall, Koa "Clyde Hill" Metter, and Tyler "Tango" Sevy. Past band incarnations include: Mannhammer, Bloomhuff, The Dark Blues, Boogietights & Fat Cat. After a brief hiatus in 2011, John & Trevor have begun a new band with the title of Primal Times and a new drummer by the name of Drew Newman. Along with a new drummer we have for the first time included Saxophone, played by Tim Prowell and Harmonica, played by Dennis Weatherman. So begins the latest and greatest chapter in the long, loud history of rock & roll. Thanks for reading.
The music is always tight, usually uptempo, ranging from slow & creepy to fast & furious. It is meant to be danced to, and since we perform primarily in Seattle, we are really unpopular as a result. :)
