Geoff Yelaska and Livewire combine experience, youth and excellent individual musicianship to create a unique sound. From Jazz through Blues, Soul and Country to Classic chart hits, Livewire creates a special feel and output to all of these genres. Depending on the venue, the members of the band can alternate from three right up to eleven. The band currently has three original albums available ( Nashville Down Under - Thorns And Thistles and Bitter Sweet) and all the tracks have been written by Geoff Yelaska. Livewire has rekindled a friendship and musical partnership between Geoff Yelaska and Geoff Schuh that goes back 43 years and the recorded and live sound is greatly influenced by the genius of Nils Ponsaing. Nils is the studio engineer, plays bass guitar and is an integral part of the tight vocal harmony sound that is a standout feature of the band's live performances. Livewire features the big voice of Geoff Yelaska who is often compared to Tom Jones, Michael Buble or even Elvis Presley (Geoff himself dislikes these comparisons as he never attempts to use anything other than his natural voice). The Livewire philosophy to live gigs is simple. Give the crowd what they want to hear ( and judging from the audience response at every gig it is a formula that works well).
