In October of 1999 Madalyn Maty wrote her first song titled, "Goodbye." She auditioned and was accepted in The Acoustic Roadshow, hosted by Butch Imholf. In March of 2000 - 2001, Madalyn Maty performed with the Acoustic Roadshow and used that platform to branch out and perform at many local venues as a solo artist.
In 2001, Madalyn Maty formed "The Madalyn Maty Band," performing all of her own songs. Her music quickly gained a local following. Madalyn Maty used her increasing popularity to organize and headline a benefit associated with the RED CROSS, raising $10,000 for the families affected on 9-11.
In 2002 she recorded 5 original songs in Radka Studios, titled "Don't Give Up. The song "Don't Give Up" was played on Y-102 FM. Shortly after the growing success of The Madalyn Maty Band, the band dismantled and she continued to write songs. In August 2002, Madalyn Maty participated in a local Star Search competition. Missing performing with a band, she formed another band, which primarily played cover tunes. The band performed locally and participated in a local benefits, raising money for various charities.
In 2003, Madalyn Maty performed at a Y-102 FM event at the City Band Shell in Reading, PA. She also recorded her first acoustic CD, titled SHOE STRING GUITAR.
In 2004 Madalyn Maty decided to leave the cover band to pursue a solo music career, showcasing her original songs. She played and hosted many open mics and gained the attention of many venues, which later resulted in a steady performance schedule. Madalyn Maty's raw and honest lyrics, not to mention her catchy guitar melodies resonated with her audience and prompted the local newspaper to feature an article about her.
In 2006 Madalyn Maty placed 10th with her original song titled, "First Love" in a world-wide song-writing competition sponsored by ASCAP and judged by a panel of successful song-writers and prominent music industry artists.
In 2006, Madalyn Maty auditioned at the Fashion Rock Contest held in Orlando, FL receiving further exposure with industry professionals, resulting in a 4 song recording at Chelsea Studios in Nashville, TN with music producer, Toni Migliori. She released her songs on iTunes and continued to pursue a solo career.
In 2010, Madalyn Maty returned to Nashville, TN and Chelsea Studios, to record 2 more original songs.
In 2013, Madalyn Maty, armed with an arsenal of new songs, began working with Grammy nominated Producer, David Ivory. Currently, Madalyn Maty is in the studio.
Madalyn Maty is confident that this current project will take her to new heights and is excited about the BUZZ and attention that is already being generated.
