Lisa Seda, born and raised in Washington Heights, NYC. She began playing the guitar as a teenager accompanying her characteristic, undimmed, soul bearing voice that spans from being utterly cool & plaintive to humblingly powerful. With influences which range from the folk rock and dark pop of America, Joni Mitchell and Suzanne Vega to the hard rock & alternative sounds of Joan Jett, Alanis Morissette and The Cranberries. Lisa carries about herself the hallmark of an observant storyteller who perceives the world with an analytically poetic eye. Lisa's songs focus on life, ordinary people and raw emotion. Cerebral albeit blunt, her lyrics cry out for multiple interpretations and a poignant message of honesty.
