This is what happens when Bob Marley and Pink Floyd meet hillbilly music... and it's all in a good way. This band of songwriters love to play for people however the remote area that we call home is our biggest obstacle and doesn't allow us the luxury of the time it takes to camp out at venues waiting on a booker or talent buyer to make it in. In fact, it's about a 4 hour round trip just to get to the nearest city where venues are located.
Sure, there's the local "gun and knife clubs" but since this band is composed of family including our 15 year old percussionist (and you'll be amazed by his timing and tempo) that's just not an option for us.
And so, we depend on the kindness of people looking for unique musical sounds from a band of dedicated musicians.
There are tons of interesting things we could tell you.... like Jimmy Henley, toured with Roy Clark for 26 years, discovered us, came to our home AND recorded the banjo for the second song on our first album. Bill Scruggs, you've probably heard of Flatt and Scruggs, has been to our home just to meet us and jam for a while.
Our Threadbare video was produced by Mr. Paul Lawson, formerly videographer for Hanson. it was good enough for ZUUS to broadcast it during the summer of 2014.
We were invited and played two shows in New Orleans at the Cutting Edge Music Conference and Festival in 2014 and Mr. Eric Cager, the head of the whole thing has given us permission to use his name to any industry people.
We regularly play the local festivals and it's not unusual for them to book us for the next year as soon as we finish our set.
So, we practice and record in our home. Shutting off the recording when evening hits and the coyotes begin to howl. (Yeah, the mics are that sensitive.) We're not the most polished band out there but we're one of the most sincere and we work hard..... so some day we will be one of the most polished.
All we ask is the opportunity to come to your venue and share the love that is our music, our family and our lives.
Thank You for taking the time to read about us and check out our page. We would love to hear from you....
