Tricky Martin is Tim Cowans solo project featuring light-hearted motifs to deep seeded demons fluidly spanning the unlimited boundaries of rock, pop, punk and electronica.
He started playing piano around the age of six, after his mother, an elementary music school teacher, enrolled him in lessons. Throughout his school years he went on to learn saxaphone and attended voice lessons. Eventually he spent time learning how to play other instruments including both the acoustic and electric guitar, bass guitar, drums and other percussion instruments, baritone ukulele, cello, harmonica, and even a little oboe and violin. Over the years, he's worked and performed with different types of bands, including his main and current project, Wren, an alt/indie pop rock band out of Columbus, Ohio. However, all of this ultimately resulted in the creation of his own style of songwriting and performing which, over time, led to the development of a solo project Tricky Martin. Doing so has allowed him to continue writing music constantly for multiple projects.
