Russell Hoke, Baritone / Bio

Russell Hoke is a Verdi Baritone from Chicago, Illinois. An up and coming young artist, Russell is getting ready to make his Verdi debut as he takes to the stage to bring Giorgio Germont to life in Verismo Opera Theater's August 2013 production of La Traviata in Chicago. While still very young for the typical Verdi singer, Russell has a unique vocal color with size and range to match that make his voice an ideal fit for this extremely demanding repertoire. Having already sung in many regional productions, 2013 may prove to be his break out year. Russell has good working relationships with many top tier coaches and teachers and has many people buzzing about the potential the he has shown within his instrument. Russell will be singing Les Contes d'Hoffman in Sao Paulo, Brazil as he makes his South American debut with the Festival of International Opera, Americas in July 2013. He has also been seen in houses across the U.S. as well as Italy. Russell hopes that you enjoy his music and thanks you for all of your love and support! Ciao!
