Savanna Leigh Bassett is quickly becoming a part of northeast Florida’s rich musical heritage. A product of Jacksonville’s music community, Savanna is passionate about songwriting and country music. Her outgoing personality and warmth make her a natural on stage where she is equally comfortable with a set of original songs or a set of well-known covers. With original songs that are witty, tightly written, and musically strong, she has a performer's zeal and passion. Savanna injects a strong Florida flavor into her music that reflects her love of the warm Florida sun.
Savanna graduated from northeast Florida’s prestigious Douglas Anderson School of the Arts, having achieved the lofty position of concert master/1st violin. She went on to study music business in Nashville at Belmont University, and finished her undergraduate studies in commercial music at Florida State University.
In the summer prior to her senior year at Florida State, she recorded and published her first release, a self-titled EP with 5 of her original songs. Recorded at Jason Garner Studios in Nashville, Savanna sang her own harmonies and added guitar, fiddle, mandolin, and banjo tracks to her album project. Her brilliant instrumental work can be heard during instrumental breaks in several of her songs.
As if her own career as a writer and performer isn't enough, she also plays fiddle in an Indie band. She is a member of Nashville Songwriters Association International and is also a member of BMI (Broadcast Music, Inc.)
