It’s been decades since a new country act has captured the public’s imagination the way that Joshua Cole has. His tailgate writing sessions have kicked off a journey that has made him one of the nation’s hottest young acts.
“It’s been a dream come true.” says Joshua. “It’s amazing to be able to drive to another state and have people that I’ve never met come sit and listen to something that I poured my heart and soul into.”
This small town country boy from Marquez, Texas has begun to make quite an impression on blue collar America. “The hottest thing since the Eli Young Band!” raves Country Music Entertainment. “I don’t want to just be another band out there chasing that dream. I want to bring my fans something different, something new and great!” stated Joshua in an interview with local reporters.
Joshua’s songs have soul and his voice is quickly getting noticed by some of the industry’s largest names. His sound combines that of country music, but with crunchy guitar riffs and an all around rockin’ vibe that you can dance all night to. His slow songs have the ability to make you pull your loved ones close and even shed a tear. Country Music News says “this is one guy you should take some time to get to know.”
Just a year ago you wouldn’t have heard of Joshua Cole, but that has changed significantly. He started off 2013 in front of 300,000 plus people while performing at the Winter NAMM Convention that was held in the Anaheim Convention Center in California. While there Joshua was able to mix it up with some of the best musicians in the business.
“There was so much passion there. Everyone there had the same dream as me and it showed me that you just have to keep on working and never let up if you want your dream to come true.” said Joshua.
“I’ve got a great group of guys in my band that help me bring the music to life and a girlfriend who has supported me every single step of the way. When I get down and the road gets tough, they just smack me in the head and tells me to man up and go make it happen. My father who lives in Arizona has encouraged me to go out and chase my dream as well. Growing up he taught me that anything worth having is worth working for.
Of course I can’t forget my amazing fans! Just when I think I’ve reached the end of the road and there is nowhere else to go, I’ll read a message from a fan who believes in me and wants to see me succeed. I couldn’t do any of this without the love and support from so many people.”
No one knows where he will be a year from now, but it’s quite evident that Joshua Cole won’t be giving up his dream anytime soon.
