Lawrence Palmer / Bio

Lawrence Palmer developed his love for music starting out as a Trombone player in the school band growing up in Southern California. His father was a "Big Band" era addict and Lawrence, being trapped in his "Fathers Oldsmobile" on long trips, was raised/brain-washed on Glen Miller, Benny Goodman, Frank Sinatra, Herb Alpert and all The Sympathy Orchestras. It wasn't until after his divorce that he found himself with a lot of time on his hands, living on a boat in Marina Del Rey and purchased his first guitar. He tried hard to push back the Bach and Beethoven and finally music starting coming to him in a Jazzy-Rock-Blues flavor and pounded in his head. Thus became the birth of his first album "Treasures In My Mind." Lawrence hooked up with Jerry Manfredi an amazing guitarist and composer who played with Ray Manzarek of The Doors, Any Gibb and the band Pages. The final mix was completed at "Stagg Street Studios" in Van Nuys by the Grammy and Emmy award winning engineer "Gary Denton." Gary who also played guitar and drums on the album, worked with many artists and bands including the "Eagles" and "Steely Dan." The amazing Tommy Mars joined the band for the second half of the album. He brings 50+ years of piano and keyboards to the table. He palyed and recorded with Frank Zappa and is currently playing with Robbie Krieger of The Doors. David Snow and his amazing guitars put the finishing touches on the tracks. The first half of the album was released on May 27th, 2013 and the second half to follow fall of 2014. My thanks to Greg Gordon, Dave and Madi Snow, David Hunt, Mitch Manker, Jim Wheeler, Bert Contreras, John Alibe and Sean Wiggins for all your help and amazing talent!!
