Anxiety accompanied with limitations prolonged Ms Mara’s music endeavors.
Searching for a new beginning and liberation Ms Mara relocated to Dover, Delaware in 2005. Completely aware of the career opportunities a higher education could provide, Ms Mara made a conscience decision to enroll in college. She went on to graduate from Delaware Technical & Community College with a diploma in Case Management and Associate Degree in Criminal Justice in 2007 and a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice from Wilmington University in 2008. However, it was during college years that she connected with Juan Carter, a producer, recording engineer, songwriter, rapper, and CEO of Urban Legend Entertainment. Ms Mara became the 1st Lady of Urban Legend Entertainment. With Juan’s assistance Ms Mara recorded and released her first studio album “Might Die Tonight.” The album was a hit locally selling hundreds of copies independently which in turn created new music opportunities in Philadelphia, Wilmington, Dover, and Maryland area. It appeared Ms Mara had it all, education, local fame, money, entourage, etc. However, internally she was fighting a far deeper battle. Torn at the fact she had strayed so far away from God and subjected herself to an alternative lifestyle became displeasing to Ms Mara. Aware of the inability to effectively serve two masters Ms Mara was faced with a life altering decision, serve God or Riches.
