2013 has been a pivotal year for me as I’m exploring writing in new styles and performing as a singer-songwriter. I’m energized by the focus, intimacy, and lyrical content that the format demands, and I’ve begun building a new audience in new venues featuring acoustic and original music. Opportunities have included participating in, and later hosting songwriter nights, performing at established and new local music venues, and opening for popular Indianapolis rock bands.
I’ve been a part of the Indianapolis music scene since 1993, originally as the front-man for the popular rock quintet Push Down & Turn. During the band’s 10-year run, I toured full-time throughout the U.S. playing clubs, festivals, and colleges. Highlights include playing the H.O.R.D.E festival with Neil Young, Primus, Toad The Wet Sprocket and others. The band also supported Counting Crows, Bush, The Freddy Jones Band, Widespread Panic, and The Bodeans on various tour dates.
My focus on song-writing started in 2004. Forming the band Sedna with several like-minded local musicians, I recorded an album of material and began to explore new avenues in lyrics, song arrangement, recording, and performing.
Since 2006 I have been the singer and guitar player for the popular Indy-based rock band, Cousin Roger. The band is consistently recognized for our high energy performances and eclectic mix of music as we entertain crowds in Indy’s popular music venues and events. Please enjoy my songs and videos here and make a plan to see a live performance soon!
