New ASCAP dance/electronica/house/dubstep music recording artist Brian Shotwell grew up in a small farm town in Northern California with his mother and three other siblings. He got his start in the entertainment business when he was hired to work on an HBO movie that was being shot in his home town. He has since worked in the industry from production to acting. He has won several awards, been featured in magazines and was on a two part Emmy winning episode of the Oprah show that she later described as one of the greatest shows of her 25 year career.
At the age of 13, Shotwell had a passion for writing melodies and recorded musical tracks in his bedroom onto audio cassettes as a hobby. He wrote songs over the years and recorded at various studios but never released any material.
Shotwell attributes much of is inspiration to his family and his close friends who have always encouraged him to work hard and never giving up on his dreams.
