Typhoid Rosie / Bio

Typhoid Rosie is a Brooklyn Rock & Roll band composed of an Ivy League graduate and comedian turned singer-song writer, a classically trained bassist, and two of NYC's finest seasoned veteran ska and reggae musicians. Their sound has been compared to: Johnny Cash, Concrete Blonde, Fiona Apple, Amanda Palmer, Patti Smith, Garbage, Hole, and Jim Morrison. Within one year of the band's formation, they released "The Music Album". Typhoid Rosie's music has already been featured on NBC, MTV CANADA, COMEDY CHORDS, and EAT SLEEP BREATHE MUSIC'S artist of the month! The Music Album is a lyrical goldmine, packed with stories, humor, cultural and philosophical inspiration: From sea shanty ballads to songs about nationally televised paternity tests, retired strippers, secret pockets, bullfights, wolves and citadels, "I dare you to stop at one!". With ten years of performing arts experience they put on one hell of a show that is not to be missed!
