Andrew Valentine, Vocals/Guitar and Robot Whisperer
Andrew started playing guitar around the age of 15 and took lessons for several years, unfortunately, he didn't have the natural ear for picking things up, so he focused on writing his own music and writing songs since 1980. "Mr. Guitar" Jerry Glassel from Jackson Michigan (RIP my friend) was Andrews mentor and told Andrew he had to developed his very own sound and should never stop writing. Andrew has played in several bands. He founded and wrote much of the music for the original band 'Revelations' from 1991-1995 which put out an album in 1994. In 1996, after the band had broken up, Andrew took a 15 year hiatus from playing, writing, and performing when he founded his robotics company with his wife, Amy Valentine. After selling the company Andrew went back to his real passion, music, and started playing and writing again. "Tomorrow's Sunsets Past" is a re-released and updated version of the song put out originally by Revelations. In the fall of 2012, Andrew started playing and writing more seriously again with the other members of the band when Amy Valentine decided to start playing bass.
Amy Valentine, Bass/Vocals
Amy Valentine is an accomplished classical musician. She has sang in Carnegie Hall as an invited performer and studied Music Theory and Composition. Amy has a great voice and is turning into a very accomplished bassist and she is Andrews' (GROOVE GIRL). She is also by far the best looking bassist anywhere as well as the most stylish member of the band! (and graphics artist).
Jimmi Hendrix, Rhythm Guitar/Vocals
Jimmi Hendrix - Whenever people meet Jimmi they ask 2 questions - Is that your real name? And do you play guitar? Since the answer to number one was always YES, he pretty much had no choice but to pursue music. Jimmi has had vocal and music training throughout school and has added some really great new songs to the bands lineup to update the bands sound. When Jimmi is not performing or working we generally put him away, he can be found living in a box under our basement stairs.
Robert (Robo) Griffin, Drums
Robo started drumming before he was born. Using his mothers internal organs as his first kit and her heartbeat as his metronome. It took a great deal of work prying Robo with alcohol, steak, and sauteed mushrooms to even get him to give Valentine Voodoo a try. Now he shows up for practice if there are shrimp tacos involved. If it weren't for Andrews' culinary prowess, we would not have a drummer!
