"There are not many people who can embrace a style of music and make it completely their own, Bob Marcus happens to be one of them, without the ego that seems to get in the way of many of them. Man can he throw down!" -- Jerry Jemmott, 17 Mar 2015. Began piano age 5, electric bass at 13 through high school, scholarship to University of Miami's School of Music age 18, full fledged career as working musician for acts as Bo Diddley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Martha Reeves, shared stage with BB King, Lou Rawls, Jerry Vale; worked as session musician for Clarence Reid, Harry Wayne Casey and Mike Laskow. My art is that of a consummate accompanist strictly. My purpose is to get everyone jumpin'.
