Phillip Lee McCurry was born in Lawrenceburg, Tn. March 19 1975 and grew up in Goodsprings, Al. Phillip discovered his love for music at a very early age and was always surrounded by all kinds, but one Genre of music stole his heart and has had it ever since, and that is Country Music. With the radio playing Keith Whitley, Alan Jackson, George Jones, Merle Haggard, Clint Black, and so many other great country artist, Phillip found himself relating to those songs and quickly realized that he could deliver a country song of his own. He began singing in a local family band everywhere they were playing. His love for entertaining the crowd would later carry him in to honky tonks where he started singing a different style. This style would later become who Phillip McCurry really is. That all got interrupted when Phillip had a near death accident that caused him to give up his dream and put it on the shelf. Now five years later and a whole new look at life, the dream is more alive than ever!! He has begun to work on his brand new album titled PAIN in which will be his single debut. PAIN is a song that we all can relate to. It is something that we can and can't live without and that is what writers, Bobby Terry and Jason Rooks express in this uniquely written song where Pain is the narrator." This is one of the best written songs I have heard in years" Phillip stated in a radio interview with Women Against Violence. An organization that stands against violence. He is planning on touring this summer following his album release which is filled with pure Phillip McCurry style.
