Performing arts sensation Ananrho (the eldest of three children) was born in January 1976. Her love for the spotlight was cultivated from an early age as the youngest member of her family gospel group 'The Christian Jubilees.' The love of music was inherited from her immediate family members and close family friends.
At the age of seven she began to perform on stages, first as a ballerina, and a gymnast, then later that year as actress in a school musical called 'The Princess and the Pea.' The next few years she spent on stage in other musicals such as HMS Pinafore. Along with hitting the stage she also joined chorus and continued dancing, which paved the way for her and her class to be invited to participate and win the local talent showcase 'Pieces of Gold.'
At the age of twelve, Ana began to write songs and poetry, and discovered her talent for drawing, and sewing. She hoped that someday she would be able to share her innermost thoughts and God-given talents with the world. Continuing to dance ballet, Ana decided to study other forms of dance as well including; jazz, modern, waltz, hip hop, salsa, meringue, and much later in life Chicago Stepping.
After a brief career in runway modeling, Ana took a break from performing for a while. During this time Ana got married and had a family. However Ananrho's love for the stage has never dissipated. She stayed involved in music and acting by organizing church choirs and plays, and also performing in gospel groups, and church choirs. She even developed a gospel group with her own children and continues to support them and encourage them to pursue their dreams.
Now with the marriage dissolved Ana is making strides to get back where she belongs. She's writing again, dancing again and also modeling again; rediscovering her first loves. Her music now is focusing on Grown up issues and day to day life. Her favorite artists to name a few, are Jill Scott, Lauryn Hill, Mary J. Blige, Eryka Badu...people that paved to way to be different but effective.
Ana hopes that listeners would keep an open mind and heart as they hear her music and become fans of Ananrho, the Queen has returned.
