Powered Wig Machine / Bio

Southern Arizona’s Powered Wig Machine, (a.k.a) PWM, began crafting heavy, stoner-flavored desert rock in 2006/2007. PWM’s hard rock sound - described as heavy western rock n roll – contains elements of desert/stoner rock, classic rock, and blues combined with lyrics that dabble in sci-fi and comic book lore. Their oddball name spawns from track seven on The Desert Sessions Volume 9 album which is one of Josh Hommes' (Queens of the Stone Age) projects. And…no these guys don’t jam tunes about ladies hair pieces or the art of wig manufacturing. When you listen to their style of music, the name just seems to fit like a codpiece with leather pants ensemble.

Powered Wig Machine has had the opportunity to play music with some greats like Swedish rockers The Quill and Truckfighters, Boots Electric, Spindrift, The Midnight Ghost Train, Ape Machine, Mothership, Jackyl, Gram Rabbit, and Black Pussy. PWM performed their first Regional tour in 2012 playing through California and Arizona. In 2013 a single "At the Helm of Hades" has been released with a movie short/music video in preparation for their upcoming Full Length album Supa-Collider which is being released in March 2014.
