If you've stumbled upon this page and you're actually listening to my music then I thank you! I started playing and writing music at the young age of 18. With a head full of angst and a love of metal music I ventured into the heavy end only to be spit out into Americana music - blues, bluegrass, folk, you name it - I love it all! It took until I was about 30 years old to finally find my feet in the sound that comes from my heart. I've always said that I don't even write these songs - that they write themselves. I am influenced by the music of today and the music of long past. From Junior Kimbrough, Mississippi John Hurt, Doc Watson, and Hank Snow to The National, Old Crow, and Ray Wylie Hubbard. I grew up in the Appalachian Mountains and joined the Army at 24. Went off to Washington State for 7 years and learned a great deal about the West Coast scene of bucket and slide music. Now I live in Christiansburg, Virginia. I am an Army Recruiter. And I am glad to be home. This place has always been a great inspiration to me and I hope that it gives me the gift of a few more songs before I have to move on again.
