As Jeff Caraway says, “writing and performance are first and foremost,” for ARGO because, “reaching audiences with the music itself,” is our priority. An emphasis on the live experience starts with songwriting as each song is born of an idea, which is expanded upon and fine-tuned through a process of rehearsal, road-testing, and further arrangement. This routine creates an ever-evolving catalogue of songs that are arranged in a new way at every show. Listen to full, live performances at www.soundcloud.com/ARGOband.
In the summer of 2013, ARGO exemplified what can come from such a solid work ethic by winning two Atlantic City talent competitions: the Open-Minded Mic South Jersey Talent Showcase and Steel Pier’s Got Talent.
ARGO is also in the process of recording some studio tracks with Suzanna Mallow of Red Letter Day at AMI Seagull Studios in Salisbury, MD with that live feel in mind. Songs are recorded and mixed to be as true to the live sound as possible, free of digital trickery. You can listen to “Free”, “Olive” and “Lazy Kind of Sadness”, three tracks from our most recent trip to MD on www.reverbnation.com/ARGOband.
The band will be spending most of its time this winter writing, rehearsing, and recording with recently added drummer, Jeremy Senior, at Alex Siniari’s home studio. You can see ARGO perform live every 3rd Sunday at the Noyes Museum of Art in Galloway, NJ from 1pm-3pm and keep an eye on the show schedule for any upcoming events.
