Malika Esdelle is a 20-year-old R&B singer/song writer, dancer, and actress from Brooklyn, New York. She started singing at the tender age of 5, being the youngest person in her school choir, and knew from that very moment being a performer would be her calling. Malika would go on to being a part of a renowned choir, a graduate of a performing arts High School as a vocal major , as well being a member of dance and musical theatre companies throughout her life.
Before starting her solo career as a singer, Malika was a former member of the Songs of Solomon Choir Ensemble, where she got the opportunity to tour and perform at prestigious venues such as the United States Open, Carnegie Hall, and Lincoln Center. Malika was also a vocal major in her High School, being a part of the performing choir where she learned challenging repertoire and music theory. Along with her love for singing, dance is also a strong passion of hers. Malika is a former member of Creative Outlet Dance Company where she studied ballet, modern, African and Jazz. Malika just finished her first year at AMAS a pre-professional musical theater company taking her performing skills to new heights combining all three singing, acting, and dancing.
Malika Esdelle is currently working on her up and coming debut EP entitled “Arrival” which is scheduled to drop October 22, 2013. Her goal is to one day get signed to a major label, and follow in the footsteps of her many inspirations such as Whitney Houston, Deniece Williams, Michael Jackson, Aaliyah, and Mariah Carrey. Along with pursing her music she wants to pursue a career in Mass Communications(Radio/Television). She believes that with having a positive attitude and strong faith in God nothing's impossible.
