Trance Fixed/esoteric records is a privately owned and operated studio in Bend, Oregon. This studio features all new hi-end gear that was purchased in 2010 and is capable of commercial recording and mixing and is for the exclusive use for "The Recliners", a multi-genre sax-based band that produces instrumentals, beds and vocal based fusion as well as traditional r&b, funk, reggae, latin, jazz/ fusion, soft jazz, rock, southern and ska. The producers of this record consist of the following: Aaron Krueger (Sax, Keys, Flute, percussion), Tom Goddison (Lead and rhythm Electric and Acoustic guitars) and Cory Chamberlin (Bass, keys and rhythm acoustic and electric guitars). All of our songs are written, produced, arranged, engineered, recorded and mixed by Aaron Kruger, Tom Goodison and Cory Chamberlin.
Cory Chamberlin has written, arranged, produced, engineered and himself as well as other bands since 1988. He has recorded bands such as "Fat Back", "Georges Pocket", "Sweaty Nipples", "Meat Puppets", "Blue Pigs in the Sinkhole", "Soul Mission", "Honey Roy" and many others. He has produced sound effects and music beds for computer animation, corporate presentations and commercials and has owned both analog tape and digital studios.
Struggling with with the advent of digital and not satisfied with the results, he looked to his long term music partners and friends since 2001, Aaron Kruger (A.K.) and Tom Goodison (T-Man). Their expertise was in digital recording and the came together to design a system based on the best marriage analog and digital gear as well as writing and arranging unique sounds. Our band, "the Recliners", listens and performs off eachother, creating a swirlling soundscape and style is unique, regardless if its a fusion instrumental piece or spoken work. The songs deliver old school punch and power with sweet dynamics and a myriad of textures and layers that ebb and flow, creating a truly unique fusion experience. Acoustic drums have sadly faded away from the majority of music because of the difficulty of to obtain a great sound, however The Recliners have extensive knowledge engineering drums and have the gear and rooms to create a huge kit sound. We use an acoustic set for every tune. We stay true to the original performers and make true acoustic music. We do not use MIDI, electronic or sampled drums, we do not quantize. Its wisiwig.
Combining Aarons sax or keys work with Toms Guitar work, its immediately apparent they have had a long term playing relationship from theier ability to play between thier lines..
