Nashville indie band Dust & Daisies has released their long awaited debut EP "Just The Same". The project showcases six original songs which lead singer Debra Solberg describes as new music with an old soul.
"We recorded this project in a very old school way", explains Debra. "Everyone played live together in the studio, and I cut my vocals live with the band as well. We were blessed with incredible musicians and ended up capturing a really great live energy on the recording."
That live chemistry is a perfect compliment to Dust & Daisies' unique organic sound. The tracks on this EP are dripping with nostalgic flavor, from the Motown-inspired grooves of "Turns Out" and the title track, to the bluesy rock of "No Other Love".
Debra and her husband Rob (guitar) are the core of Dust & Daisies. They have performed live and in the studio with many artists including Matthew West, Rebecca St. James, Michael W. Smith, Billy Ray Cyrus and Ginny Owens. And together they make up two-thirds of the John Schlitt Trio, providing acoustic guitar and vocal accompaniment for the 4-time Grammy winning Christian rock singer.
"We just finished a tour of Norway with John (Schlitt) and it was amazing!", says Debra. "It was really our first time trying out some of the new songs live and we were blown away by the great response."
