...Dressed in black, Finnish rock-electronica five piece, delivers an
imaginative and versatile new album containing thumping beats, "Caffeine" driven grooves and pristine production. Towards the end of 2010 five driven and hungry musicians – Jaani, Matti, Riku, Oze and Arttu
– started work on the band’s third album as a single creative force that rapidly morphed into an exciting, organic, synth-pop like, rocking album.
In the beginning of the production, the concept was "Doomsday Disco" - An ‘Apocalyptic-Disco’ album in the spirit of the eighties, that people could dance to in the dance floor.
The concept then moved to the shores of Kymi River, into the town of Inkeroinen in Kouvola hometown of Jaani and his late grandparents. INKEROINEN was born!
Bands don’t come much more interesting, fearless, extraordinary and pleasantly challenging than Helsinki’s Iconcrash. “Inkeroinen” is the most positive and uplifting record in the band’s history
up to date. By pushing the boundaries of Rock, Electronic and Pop with a wall of sound gem and combining inspiration from Alphaville, Talk Talk, The Cure, The Church and Sisters of Mercy it is
clear that Iconcrash is a unique band in their full glory and a force in its own right.
“Stockholm” - the band’s first official video - has been already embraced by the national heavy
weight that Voice TV is, clearing the road for a number of successes to follow.
“For five months we sheltered from the Nordic cold winter in studios we went back to basics
looking for the warmth and diversity of sound that analog synthesizers from the 80’s, groovy samplers and crispy drum machines can only give you, and we mixed it all with real strings and choirs for that extra analogue edge” – the band explained while sipping copious amounts of coffee at a remote location in central Helsinki.
Simultaneously being produced in Finland, England and Sweden thanks to the band working together as a production team, the album benefited from the magic touch and vision of people
like Lee Slater (The Vaccines, 30 Seconds to Mars, Kylie Minogue), Arttu Peljo (Sunrise Avenue, Disco Ensemble, Chisu) and Antti Eräkangas (The Rasmus, Von Hertzen Brothers, Lauri) added
great balance to Iconcrash sound.
Iconcrash has signed a management deal with the respected English/American FLUX Development & Management. Other artists represented by their team includes: Motörhead, Anthrax and Zebrahead.
To promote this new album, Iconcrash will be concentrating in their beloved Finland first, wherethey will be touring intensively.
