I am a bassist of 20 years. I'm also a songwriter, vocalist and guitarist. I am seeking my next musical adventure.
This page is intended to be more of a musical resume than an artist promotion. The songs on this site come from a culling of my recent musical history. All songs available on this site feature yours truly on bass. While some do feature my songwriting, guitar, or vocal work, it is electric bass that is my primary focus and pursuit.
I come from a classic rock school of bass playing. John Entwistle (The Who) and John Paul Jones (Led Zeppelin) are my first and greatest influences. Flea (Red Hot Chili Peppers) was really the guy that made my break down and pick up the instrument, however. As time has gone on, I've become much more interested in other styles of music and, consequently, have rounded out those original hard rock edges with other forms of music. These days, it's '60s and '70s funk, soul and R&B that are moving my soul.
I am a self taught player, but in an effort to broaden my musical vocabulary, I've begun taking private lessons from Keith Malinowski at Detroit Guitar.
I've played in numerous metro Detroit area bands. She Said Yes, 2Di4, All About The Fire, Luscious Delicious, and Tom Blaser & The Late Train among them.
In addition, I've done session work for a number of local recording houses, including Scribble Strip, Wiseguy, and Industry Sound Studios.
I am available for live or session work. I'm most interested in music that defies categorization. I enjoy blending many styles into an original artistic voice, and hope to find likeminded musicians to play with.
