Odysseus Never Came Back is a 6-piece post-hardcore/metalcore band from Athens, Greece which was formed in the summer of 2011. With a partially different line-up than the current one, the band began finding its musical "I.D." and "sound" and writing their first tracks. So far, more than a year later the band has managed to steadily to gain reputation in the underground music scene of Athens through numerous live appearances in various gigs and festivals of the "scene" .
Their music and live shows mixes various music genres together such as electronica, drum 'n' bass and dubstep with metalcore and deathcore riffs which gave them their reputation as one of the most enjoyable acts to experience live in "underground" Athens.
Highlight moments of the band so far have been:
-the release of their debut single "Found Rotten in the Basement" which has had a considerable amount of "success" (and controversy) so far in online plays.
-their live performance at "Schoolwave 2012" which has been described by many as one of the best acts ever to have performed on Schoolwave's stage. This was also supported by the considerably big amount of online views that the live video of the gig received in a very short amount of time.
The band is working on new tracks at the moment which will be unveiled to the public over 2013.
"Our love for heavy genres along with with our passion for progressive melodies, beats and tunes is only a part of us. Hard work and friendship makes it all real." -ONCB-
