Minister Allen Wayne Brown aka True Blue was born February 23, 1987 in a small town in Virginia. He was blessed to have two loving parents, two older sisters and two older brothers. True Blue grew up in Amherst, VA, a small and rural town where everyone knows each other. He began exploring Hip Hop music around the age of 12. Wanting to be like the artist he saw on TV, True Blue and his brothers started rapping together and called themselves The Brown Brother's.
They made a name for themselves by freestyling and battling people in the halls at school. When there parents were away at work in the evenings they spent a lot of time writing songs and raping over instrumentals. True Blue was the youngest but clearly the leader of the group. True Blue and his brother's raps were very explicit, they raped about money, sex, and drugs because that's all they heard from the rapper's they looked up to.
True Blue would often turn to poetry to release anger and frustration. He excelled in English and Writing classes all through school and loved to write rhymes. He would rap his way all the way through school, but never really believed he could pursue music as a career. True Blue put the mic down at the age of 17 after he graduated high school, but always dreamed of one day becoming a artist. True Blue would end up getting married at the age of 19 and began working at a Bakery to make ends meet. Church was always a part of his life but he didn't have a personal relationship with God at all. True Blue found God at the age of 20, After running from God for a little while, he finally gave in to the call that had been placed on his life. He completely surrendered to God and three years later was called to become a Minister of the Gospel. He currently is the Excetuvie Pastor of Exposed Life Change Ministries, a Church that was started by he, his sister, and his wife. After getting saved True Blue thought his rap career dreams were done for sure until one day his sister played him a song by Grammy Winning Artist Lacrea and everything changed.
God was letting True Blue know what his purpose was. For about 5 years True Blue spent time working on his craft, searching for a producer and a studio to record quality music. He would eventually link up with one of his old classmates and began working on his first mixtape called "Hope Dealer." True Blue released the mixtape on reverbnation.com/trueblue4christ and went all the way to No.1 in the rankings for the lynchburg area for all genres of music. He would hold that spot for a month and gain over 1,000 fans on Reverbnation.
True Blue would then be spotted by a local management team called Epic434 and eventually sign a contract for Epic434 to be his managers. He is currently a Artist and on the Advisory Board for Epic434. Still working to complete the mission God has given him, True Blue vow's to never give up on his Purpose. Winning Souls is his No.1 goal. True Blue is currently working on releasing a 6 song EP called "DreamChasing" on March 3, 2014. True Blue's story is far from finished, but it is just begining.....
