Keiko infuses country with her strong, sultry voice, providing for a unique, entertainment experience. Putting her soulful touch into every song, Keiko provides vocals as well as piano and guitar accompaniment for her performances.
She began her music career at age 16 as a pianist and vocalist at Oak Hill Country Club in Fitchburg, MA. By 17, she was performing to a packed house at Bootlegger's Restaurant and Lounge, playing a three set gig without repeating a song.
Country at heart, Keiko’s songbook includes artists from Shania Twain and Carrie Underwood to Kenny Chesney and Garth Brooks. Not limited to one genre, however, Keiko also includes a great variety of artists in her repertoire including the Beatles, Journey, Jimmy Buffet, Maroon 5, the Eagles, Etta James and Elton John to name a few. Keiko has been said to sound like Norah Jones with her smoky voice, as well as Adele with her deep, mesmerizing sound.
Talented in both piano and guitar, Keiko accompanies herself for each performance. She provides audiences with a mix of songs from each instrument, and can often take requests for songs or artists. Keiko is always sure to include some songs for the audience to sing along with from Garth Brooks’ “Friends In Low Places” to Billy Joel’s “Piano Man” and Neil Diamond’s “Sweet Caroline”.
Recently, Keiko has spent time in the studio recording and her first four-song EP will be finished soon.
Keiko has sung the National Anthem at sporting events as well as a military retirement ceremony, and volunteers her time for charitable functions, also. She continues to play local venues, and is available to play for parties and corporate events.
