origin: eastern north carolina
philosophy: our music is thematic, emotional, and noisy. with dreamy, ambient melodies each song induces the sensation that epitomizes the feeling of living in an endless summer hypnosis. our influences include both classical composers (haydn, beethoven) and the modern music underground (southern california surf-punk, d.c. style emo-core). our songs sound mostly like early, romantic-era piano sonatas played with post-hardcore drum beats, heavily distorted/overdriven guitar tones, lots of feedback, and off-key vocals. though the technical skill level of our instrument playing is not our focus, complexity of our songs can be found in composition. each piece has sophisticated verse movement/structure, complex harmonies, and story-like melodies accompanied by deep, metaphorical lyrics.
sound: noisy, catchy rock influenced by the summer, the ocean, palm trees, north carolina beaches, road trips, oak trees w/ spanish moss, charleston, savannah, long walks on piers at night, florida, and greek philosophy.
influences: fugazi, hot water music, knapsack, explosions in the sky, engine down, the appleseed cast, life at these speeds
