Throwing Wrenches / Bio

Throwing Wrenches is a Washington DC area alternative modern rock band. Despite being teens aged 14-16, they are consistently ranked in the ReverbNation Top 10 for DC bands. Throwing Wrenches brings thoughtful lyrics and sleek surging guitar work into their original music, providing a stunning glimpse into the world we live through their unique perspective.

The Wrenches recently released their debut EP on iTunes highlighting tightly weaved bass and drums, soulful vocals and killer guitar riffs. Live performances include the band’s own growing catalog of maturely orchestrated modern rock as well as crowd favorites spanning the genres of rock, punk and alternative. These guys continue to surprise audiences with their sound.

They have earned their chops playing frequently the last two years at some of the region’s favorite venues including Jammin’ Java, The Electric Maid, Empire, the Washingtonian Summer Concert Series, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, the Rock N Roll DC Marathon, band battles at the 9:30 Club and The Fillmore Silver Spring and have built a following at numerous community events in Rockville and Gaithersburg.
